I've walked this path for over 30 years — from technical writer to insurance agent to award-winning real estate investor and business coach. Along the way, I've helped thousands of ordinary people achieve extraordinary results.
Daring to Prosper was born from my passion to empower others to build financial freedom through practical education and supportive community. My mission is simple: to transform your life experience into the building blocks of lasting wealth and meaningful impact.
My Journey to Daring & Prosperity

For over 30 years, I've been proving this truth by helping thousands of people just like you transform their financial futures through real estate investing.
My entrepreneurial journey has taken me through multiple careers—from technical writer to insurance agent (where I became a $3 million producer selling one policy at a time) to real estate investor, business consultant, motivational speaker, course designer, and coach.
In each venture, I've reached the pinnacle of success, not because I'm special, but because I've discovered strategies that work for anyone willing to take action.
Why Real Estate?
I discovered early on that real estate offers something truly remarkable: the ability to create wealth and freedom on your own terms. For three decades, I've built my portfolio through single-family rehabs, private lending, marketing, and my personal favorite—small apartment buildings for passive income.
The result? The freedom to visit family around the country, travel when I choose, and donate to non-profits and individuals in ways that align with my values. But more importantly, I've gained the time and financial independence to help others do the same.
Teaching is My Passion
While building my own real estate empire has been rewarding, my greatest satisfaction comes from watching my students succeed. I've coached thousands of individuals to achieve financial freedom through real estate—many starting with something as accessible as condo investing.
As one of the founders of the Connecticut Real Estate Investor Association (which I later sold to the next generation), I created a platform where investors could learn, connect, and grow together. The Commercial Record acknowledged CT REIA as one of the Best Real Estate Educational Providers, a recognition that reflects the success of our community members.
Women in Business
When Banker & Tradesman awarded me the Women of FIRE (Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate) Award for being among the most talented, ambitious, and innovative women entrepreneurs in Connecticut, it reinforced something I'd known all along: women are simply better at real estate investing.
In my book, Women Are Simply Better at Real Estate, I share why women's natural strengths—attention to detail, relationship-building, and intuitive decision-making—create an edge in this industry. I've seen it firsthand as I've coached both men and women to success.
Beyond Real Estate
I believe in stepping in when I see a need. When I noticed small businesses were underserved in my local Chamber of Commerce, I created the Small Business Council and the Webster Small Business of the Year Annual Award. My marketing skills have helped animal rescues raise funds and find homes for homeless cats and dogs.
For over 7 years, Business Network International acknowledged me as the top networker in my chapter. At Landmark Education Corporation, I effectively worked with over 100 volunteers to become the number one communication course manager in the country.
My Approach
I don't believe in complicated theories or untested strategies. Instead, I focus on practical, actionable steps that get results. My students and clients overwhelmingly achieve their business and life goals because I recognize and empower the success-making qualities already within them.
My teaching style? Frank and casual—I'll talk directly to you, share real examples (both successes and mistakes), and give you clear action steps. No fluff, no hype, just proven strategies that work in today's market.
